Deep Calling OUT
Author: Ellie Sharpe | Category: Inspirational
This morning I heard the Father speak, ” I am calling ALL of my children into my secret place.” This day is the 21st. That biblically represents vengeance and excessive sin. God is wiping the slates for HIS faithful COGS. He needs us. Meaning, He has need of the faithful to reach out to the LOST. Like never before, this is necessary.
Deep is calling OUT. It is time to set the captives free. They have endured long enough. JESUS will set them free. We must come into agreement for HIM to use us effectively. WE must surrender ALL, and seek HIS purpose, plan and peace in ALL things. Because, in this season, if people are not following God, He will bring Heaven and to them it will be HELL.
Even for the faithful holy remnant at first the FIRE will burn. But, know this has purpose. Become acutely aware of the enemy’s scheme. Only under the tutelage of the LORD can this be. There will appear to be much death around. However, it is up to you as to whether it abounds. Do you care more about the souls of others, even than yourself?
Because major sacrifices will be required, based on obedience to the KING. You shall see. Everyone seems to think it is no big deal to be hateful to each other. But, it is a BIG BIG deal. THIS entry was begun on the 18th. God is breaking HIs children out of bondage. 18 Biblically represents this. It is finishing on the 24th, which is the ROYAL priesthood. The royal family that everyone else sees, is not the family of God.
But, it is TIME that honor is placed where it is due. Today at 1am, David and I returned from a trip. This trip went exactly as God desired. But, MAN was it tough in parts for us. HIS LOVE really does conquer ALL. 1 is New beginnings. So, the house had lost power 4 1/2 days earlier. The temperature was like 85 when we walked in. Yet, God kept ALL inside well. Anyway, we came in, showered, and rested for a few. Then, we woke, went for breakfast, and our card was declined. ALL we could do was laugh. Grateful that there was cash in the wallet, we got food. We thanked God. Then, we came home, and there was no answer to the request for funds. So, we posted a request on FB. Within minutes, someone messaged David. Thank you LORD! Then, right after that, the previous request came through and then some. Half way through the day, we were led to go again, to the same place for a meal. We diud not get much, but what we did was interesting. The price was. $11.11. This is the number of the angels. I had seen it earlier. a girl at the counter said, you should play the lottery. My response was simple. I said, “If God wants me to have money, it will fall from the sky.” The teenage boy, who was just precious said something intersing. He said, “That is a good woman right there.” Humbled by the LOVE of God indeed. See, it is working, it is NOT pointless. Just move in His LOVE.
This song was on today….after I woke from a dream of battle with the enemy. The song is very appropriate. The power had been off for 5 days. We were led to donate the food. Also, God kept our kitty babies safe. Here is the SonG…
Hillsong –
“Oceans (Where Feet May Fail)”
The great unknown where feet may fail
And there I find You in the mystery
In oceans deep
My faith will standAnd I will call upon Your name
And keep my eyes above the waves
When oceans rise
My soul will rest in Your embrace
For I am Yours and You are mineYour grace abounds in deepest waters
Your sovereign hand
Will be my guide
Where feet may fail and fear surrounds me
You’ve never failed and You won’t start now
So I will call upon Your name
And keep my eyes above the waves
When oceans rise
My soul will rest in Your embrace
For I am Yours and You are mine
[6x]
Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders
Let me walk upon the waters
Wherever You would call me
Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander
And my faith will be made stronger
In the presence of my Savior
I will call upon Your name
Keep my eyes above the waves
My soul will rest in Your embrace
I am Yours and You are mine.
~Time Is At Hand, Are You For Me or Against Me~
What more can I say to those that do not love Me? How can I reach the unreachable to search their hearts when they turn their back on Me, ignore Me, disintegrate My teachings from above, from the true Master and Teacher? I say none, nothing more can be done but to judge those that judge Me. My daughter, those that turn away from Me, oh what a sad, sorrowful day that will be. Do they not know I love them? How could they not know, for have I not spoke it many eons now? This saddens Me and I weep today daughter, for what is to come upon My people now. The lost, forlorn, they seek Me, they come to the Father, will you love me, save me? But what about the others, have they not heard the Word of God, have they not seen or heard the good news I brought to My people? Oh, people of Mine, how I weep today, for soon you will not see Me, for I have lifted My hand off America, your land, that I so dearly loved and created for a free people, who set you aside from all the others. You promised Me that I would be first, you promised Me, give me life, or give me death. But today My children you turn your backs on Me. This is not for those that love Me, who have struggled along the roadside, highway of life, who have given up themselves to serve Me, no, this is for all the others, even those that say they love Me, but do not, for how can they love Me, when they spit upon My name? Oh, holy nation where have you gone? Why do you despise Me? Have I not given you enough? I gave you freedom and liberty, your own constitution in My name, yet you disregard Me and tear down the walls that once built you up.
Oh woe to those that seek out to destroy My children, My chosen ones. They that love Me, who have stood their ground amongst the enemy. Do you not understand the power of the Word of God? Do you justify your ways simply to destroy what I built? The Word of God stands today, just as it did when it was spoke. Why take pieces of it and twist and turn it to suit your needs and desires? Have I not said that if you follow Me, love Me, I shall keep you all the days of your life? Yet you get angry at those who speak the truth, those that you say come against you. You become defensive at those I have chosen to speak out My words. They are not spoke to hurt you, make you afraid or unworthy, they are spoke because I love you and seek you. There are many that say they love Me, but do you, for what is a measure of love, how deep must it go to enter into the sin of man, to convict them and bring them to their knees in repentance? The sin of man has always been, yet there has always been a group of followers who have stood by, looked out for signs and wonders, who would give their very life for Me if I ask them. Are you one of these My children, would your give your very life for Me? When the enemy comes to attack you, are you ready to lay down for Me, or will you shun Me, take the easier route?
The time is at hand now dear ones, the day not far off now where many will see My chosen ones and their callings. You who I have called, you have stood up, you have walked the road, the path, you have been through the fiery furnace, yet you still remain faithful to Me. You My little ones, shall endure to the end and you shall be caught up to the heavens on that day when the Father returns to collect His.
Be one of these ones, come off your course of destruction to your life and seek Me. I am not to far away to be reached. The hour has not come yet that I am unreachable. Come lay down your burdens, your pain, your sufferings unto Me, don’t you know I want to take these things from you? Don’t you know, no love is greater than Mine? Come let Me show you little ones, don’t let the hour pass you by, for you see, I have always been and will be forever more, there is nothing I would not do to save you, love you, mend your broken heart. Come let Me love you before the dark hour approaches. Don’t be caught off guard. I have all you have ever wanted and needed, you just didn’t know. Beseech Me My beloved ones, come to Me in this midnight hour before the dark hand comes upon you, a darkness you do not want to endure on your own. For I Am the true living waters, I Am the way back home to eternity, come live with Me forever and ever. The time is running out, the clock ready to strike midnight, don’t let this hour pass you by beloved ones of mine.
Luke 12:40
“You also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.”
John 7:38
Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from with in them.
1 Chronicles 16:22
“Do not touch my anointed ones; do my prophets no harm.”
Luke 12 6-7
Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.
John 3:10 and 13-14
“If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have have asked him and he would have given you living water.”
Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”
I have posted His words as He instructed me. scribed by Carla Kohler.
God is a JEALOUS GOD. Everything in HIM is LOVE and Holiness. He will not settle for just part of you. HE wants, desires and needs ALL of you. So are you ready??? He is coming back for a bride without spot or wrinkle. Will you let HIM clean you and straighten you out???
I hear DEEP calling OUT to DEEP….His arms are within reach. He is right there waiting for you. But, the windows will close. Don;t you want to KNOW? Don’t you want to see? Don’t you want to open the gifts that are ready? Because ALL He wants is your humilty. He wants you to say, HEAL us LORD. He wants you to cry out Forgive me God and I forgive them too, and even YOU. He wants the tears to FALL, so He can catch them. Will you say YES? Because, the TRUTH is, if you say NO you will forfeit ALL the blessings. God won’t just dress the wounds, He will make them evaporate by HIS holy fire. Yet, there are some, who will choose death, they will choose evil. They will have nothing left, and burn in the fire. No worldly desire can stop or change that upheaval. So, which side are you on? Are you a winner or a loser. God loves us ALL. But, only HE is the closer. He LOVES straight from Heaven, but know it can feel like Hell at first. DO you hunger and thirst for what is REAL? He is bringing Heaven and it is NOT dependant on how we feel. Watch GOD. It may seem ODD but will you swim? Can you stand HIS ocean? Because He is your life preserver and your healing lotion. Receive today….Heaven’t gifts, let HIM sift you for and in HIS GLORY. He deserves the BEST, the Rest and the peace as we obey and believe. ~

The Afters
“Broken Hallelujah”
Everything is crashing down,
And I wonder where You are.I try to find the words to pray.
I don’t always know what to say,
But You’re the one that can hear my heart.Even though I don’t know what your plan is,
I know You’re making beauty from these ashes.
I’ve seen joy and I’ve seen pain.
On my knees, I call Your name.
Here’s my broken hallelujah.
With nothing left to hold onto,
I raise these empty hands to You.
Here’s my broken hallelujah.
You know the things that have brought me here.
You know the story of every tear.
‘Cause You’ve been here from the very start.
Even though I don’t know what your plan is,
I know You’re making beauty from these ashes.
I’ve seen joy and I’ve seen pain.
On my knees, I call Your name.
Here’s my broken hallelujah.
With nothing left to hold onto,
I raise these empty hands to You.
Here’s my broken hallelujah.
When all is taken away, don’t let my heart be changed.
Let me always sing Hallelujah
When I feel afraid, don’t let my hope be erased
Let me always sing Hallelujah.
Let me always sing Hallelujah.
I will always sing
I will always sing
Here’s my broken hallelujah.
For the last two years I have served as Northwest University’s Worship Director. In some ways I have the opportunity to be the worship pastor for our community. This job has been one of the most defining and sharpening seasons of my life. A part of my job is reviewing the songs that we use in our services. Lately, we have been singing a very catchy song entitled “Deep Cries Out” that has provoked different thoughts. So I have taken the time to converse with different students, pastors, and professors in order to gain a holistic view of the song. The following are thoughts and reflections of me and others, followed by my conclusion and application of those thoughts.
On the surface the song speaks of going into a deeper relationship with God using the references from Ezekiel 47, John 8, and Psalm 42. It also uses Pentecostal terminology from a prophetic movement that said wherever the Spirit and “river” of God would move the church would obediently and joyfully follow. The song calls the church to express their praise by jumping, dancing, shouting, and crying out. It communicates a desire to encounter God in an ongoing way; this in itself is a cry that the people of God throughout history have uttered in one way or another and, in that sense, the impulse of this song is historically and biblically consistent with that practice. At the linguistic level, several phrases are obviously taken from Scripture (“river of living water” = John 7; “deep cries out (to deep)” = Psalm 42) and, anytime we sing Scripture, I think we are joining with God’s people through history.
However, in this case, these phrases are used without any particular regard to the way they appear in their Scriptural context. It becomes clear that these phrases have been used as “code terms” for a certain kind of religious or ecstatic experience that was not their original point of reference (note how they are tied to “shouting” and “dancing” and “jumping”). Therefore, even though some lyrical lines sound “Scriptural” they are less so than they seem. For instance, “deep” in Psalm 42:7 is a symbolic reference by a person who likens their suffering and desperation to “drowning” in God’s deep water = ocean, waves, and thunderclouds.
In the Bible, worship is our response to what God has revealed to us about himself and his ways. This song is heavily weighted on the side of response, especially when it says that we are calling out to God. The part about deep crying out to deep comes from Psalm 42 which is a lament. The verse is not entirely clear, but it certainly has to do with calling to God out of intense trouble that may well become worse. It doesn’t have to do with being in God’s “river” of blessing. On the contrary, Psalm 42 is from a “downcast” soul, basically somebody who is nearly drowning in trouble and sorrow. So that part of the worship song doesn’t really fit with that part of the Bible. The song looks quite joyful with talk of jumping, shouting, and dancing. That’s great! The joy of our salvation is real indeed!
Again, there is a biblical echo in turning right and left according to where God leads. This sounds like Isa 30:21. In all fairness, however, in most of the OT, God’s people are encouraged to walk straight, thus, turning to the right or left is a negative thing (see Deut 28:14) Proverbs 4:27 says not to turn to the right or left, and good kings were commended because they did not turn to the right or left (2 Kgs 22:2). But the idea of being unfaithful (turning right or left) is clearly not what this song about. It is likely that the references of “the river” and “going to the left” are uses of the language from a Pentecostal movement
A lot of contemporary Christian music is focused on us, the worshippers, rather than the one to whom we should be drawing all attention. The “we will never be denied” definitely errs in that direction, and is furthermore theologically and biblically incorrect. Add to that the focus on human agency (are we really the ones who stir up the wells and waters?!) and you end up with something that may well have a great rhythm and melody, but is something that is uncomfortable singing in honesty. A critique would be that the song is over-emotional, and I would not argue against that. The song and worshipers can be over-emotional. But, I would never want to forfeit the use of emotions in our expression and relation to God. Everything about Christ, His salvation, His return, and His coming is thought-provoking and emotional. I would not want to come to the place where the church would forsake our emotions in our attempt to “better worship” God. The true worshipers whom the Father seeks are thoughtful and emotional. Worship is a response. It is a response with our mind, will, emotions, and actions
Since worship is our response to God’s self-revelation, it is always good to look for how a song lifts up some aspect of God’s character or celebrates what God has done. We know him through his attributes (He is forgiving) which lead to his actions (He forgives). So then, what does this song say about God? God releases a river of living water from Heaven upon us. This is an echo of John 7:38 but the song says nothing about the Holy Spirit which is clearly what Jesus was talking about (read John 7:39). God leads us to the right and to the left. That’s a fair point, though fairly simple.
Jesus Christ is the real focus of worship, so I tend to look for how our lyrics point to him and what he did for us. On that point, this song comes up pretty empty. As a leader in charge of choosing music, if this song were in the list, I would not necessarily remove it. I would just be intentional that there were other songs to sing that did bring us as the people of God closer to the cross and throne of Jesus who we worship and adore. This song is not a worship song itself but more so a corporate call to worship.
I try to not loosely use the word “worship” for our time of corporate music (or even the arts). The music and singing, we do in our services is typically not just worship. I find that for our services at NU there are at least three purposes for this music time. First and most prevalent this time is for congregational worship (responding to the revelation of who God is, what He has done, and what He has said). This is done through songs about Christ, His attributes, and His deeds. Second, the time also serves as an opportunity to encourage our community through song, scripture, and testimony. This incorporates songs that are reflective, tell stories of Christ, or share about different hardships in life. These songs then often call the church to see life differently and hope amidst the situations. These typically are not worship songs. They are encouragement, but they can be used to lead the church back into worship. Last, the corporate music time is for the community to verbalize and remind itself of their commitment to God, desire for God, need of God, and pursuit after God. Again, these songs are not worship songs though they refer to God. These songs verbalize a desire and call for commitment to God. These songs are typically used in camp or conference settings where the goal is to cultivate a desire for God (which should lead to the true worship of God for Who He is and what He has done).
To conclude, “Deep Cries Out” does not qualify as a worship song. A few of the reasons (over-simply stated) being: 1) the song is man-focused and not God-centered, 2) it does not accurately convey the true meaning of some of the texts where it comes from, 3) it centers on what we want to do, not on God, 4) it really just does not worship God. The song seems to be calling believers to a devotion to God, to follow God (shown primarily through the chorus, bridge, and tag), and specifically to respond through dancing, shouting, crying, and jumping.
As I stated before, not all of the purposes for corporate music time are for worship. My aim is that the worship of God is always the priority and prevalence of what we do. I pray that we use our time together to worship Him more than anything else. As a worship leader, my goal is to lead people into the worship that they have within them and that God is entitled. Songs are used to reorient the heart, soul, mind, and body (strength) towards God. Again, I would not qualify this song as a worship song and it should not be treated as one. It is important to remember that songs are not of themselves worship; they are a means to worship. Worshipers make songs worship. So intentionally, “Deep Cries Out” can definitely be utilized to prepare a congregation to worship together.
I propose that this song can fulfill the two other uses of our time of corporate music, as stated earlier. It is vital for worship leaders to use a song like this with that intention. Know your congregation, their maturity, and their needs. Be very strategic in how to utilize the purpose of this or any other song. “Deep Cries Out” calls the church into a deeper commitment and relationship with God and then expresses that relationship with different forms of praise. These are things that we, as the church, want and need.
THiS above portion is an excerpt from another BLOG…..God bless these COGS ( Up till the point of the web address 🙂 )
Mercy Me
“You Are I Am”
And wonder if You’re even here
I’ve been the one to doubt Your love
I’ve told myself You’re not enough
I’ve been the one to try and say
I’ll overcome by my own shame
I’ve been the one to fall apart
And start to question who You are
You’re the one who conquers giants
You’re the one who calls out kings
You shut the mouths of lions
You tell the dead to breathe
You’re the one who walks through fire
You take the orphan’s hand
You are the one Messiah
You are I am
You are I am
I’ve been the one held down in chains
Beneath the weight of all my shame
I’ve been the one to believe
That where I am You cannot reach
You’re the one who conquers giants
You’re the one who calls out kings
You shut the mouths of lions
You tell the dead to breathe
You’re the one who walks through fire
You take the orphan’s hand
You are the one Messiah
You are I am
You are I am
The veil is torn
And now I live with the Spirit inside
The same one, the very same one
Who brought the Son back to life
Hallelujah, He lives in me
Hallelujah, He lives in me
Hallelujah, He lives in me
Hallelujah, He lives in me
You’re the one who conquers giants
You’re the one who calls out kings
You shut the mouths of lions
You tell the dead to breathe
You’re the one who walks through fire
You take the orphan’s hand
You are the one Messiah
You are I am
You are I am
